FACULTY OF MEDICINE MEDICINE 40 ENGLISH

 

Faculty of Medicine Medical education in Surabaya started in 1913 namely Nederlands Indische Artsen School (NIAS). In 1954 this shool changed to be Faculty of Medicine Airlangga University (FMAU) based on Decree of Republic of Indonesia Number 57, dated on November 10th 1954. The first President Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno was pleasure to declare this university officially. The Minister of Education and Culture, Prof. Mr. Muhammad Yamin also involved in this innaguration. FMAU performs many programs namely: Medical Doctor, Midwifery Ungergraduate, Master's Program in Medicine, Master's Program in Nursing, Postgraduate Training on Medical Specialist, and also four Diplomas on Medical Technician (as vocational program).

 

International Programs An International program on medicine (undergraduate) is a part of global strategy of Airlangga University towards internationalization. The curriculum of this international class is developed based on the international standard directed by the World Federation for Medical Education and the Indonesian Medical Council. The global issues are also accommodated in this curriculum.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

A. INDONESIAN APPLICANTS :

  1. SMA/MA/SMK/MAK or equivalent school graduates graduated in 2017 and 2018 must have a diploma.
  2. SMA/MA/SMK/MAK or equivalent school graduates graduated in 2019 have A letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.
  3. Having no health issues that might disrupt his/her study.

 B. INDONESIAN APPLICANTS (WNI) GRADUATING FROM OVERSEAS SCHOOL

  1. Graduating from schools equivalent to SMA/MA/SMK/MAK (in accordance with the applicable regulations by Primary and Secondary Education, Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia – Dikdasmen Kemendikbud RI) in 2017, 2018 and 2019
  2. For 2019 graduates, at least holding a letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.

C. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS:

  1. Graduating from schools equivalent to SMA  in 2017, 2018 and 2019
  2. For 2019 graduates, at least holding a letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.
  3. For Malaysian graduates holding one of this requirement:
    • STPM qualification with minimun CGPA 3.00 (4.00 scale).
    • Pre-Medical qualification with minimun CGPA 3.00 (4.00 scale).
    • Foundation Program / A-Level or equalivalent qualification.

  • For International applicants , holding a Letter of Consent from The Republic of Indonsia if accepted as a students at Universitas Airlangga
  • Holding recommendation letter from Indonesian Embassy in the student’s country of residence

    FACULTY OF DENTISTRY

    The faculty of Dentistry of Universitas Airlangga is to be prominent, independent in research science and technology in dentistry, which able to meet the public needs nationally and internationally based on ethics and religious morale. We conduct a unique Course for Frontier Dental Science (144 credits) in 7 semesters and Course for Clinical Dental Science (33 credits) in 3 semester as a sequential education providing basic education necessary to be dental professionals. We respond to diversities of dental science, dental medicine, students' individualities/values and public needs for Dental Health. Course for frontier dental science have a qualification equivalent to a Bachelor in Dental Surgery and Course for Clinical Dental Science have a qualification equivalent to Doctor of Dental Surgery, both courses receive a certificate of recognition from Universitas Airlangga.

    Faculty of Pharmacy

    Faculty of Pharmacy was established on August 17th 1963 and is one of the 13 State Pharmacy Faculties (State University/ PTN) in Indonesia. We succeed in maintaining top rank (Rank A) of accreditation from The National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN PT) since 1998. Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Airlangga often involved and wins prestigious competitive program such as QUE World Bank Project and Program B (both are the highest competitive program Director General of Higher Education Ministry). Starting in 2009-2011 we won a competitive program I-MHERE (Indonesia Managing Higher Education for Relevance and Efficiency), sub-components B2c of the Director General of Higher Education from World Bank, to Develop the entrepreneurship based on university research and quality capacity assurance.

    Universitas Airlangga Faculty of Law is one of the leading law faculty in Indonesia Established in 1954, it has been acknowledged that the Programme has an excellent national reputation and been accredited “A” (excellent) by BAN-PT as the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in the last 30 (thirty) years respectively, it also recognized internationally by ASEAMN University Network (AUN) which are only few Universities in Indonesia fulfilled the criteria.
    In academic year 2018/2019, Universitas Airlangga Faculty of Law initiates to open International Bachelor Programme. This programme offers International Business Law (Indonesia prespective) which is delivered in English (except procedural law).
    This programme is specifically designed for :

    • National and foreign students graduate from Senior High School wishing to pursue a Sarjana Hukum (S.H) equals to Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and
    • Foreign legal practitioners who are wishing to practice legal activities in Indonesia, ASEAN and Asia

     

    GENERAL REQUIREMENT FOR 2019/2020 ACADEMIC YEAR

     

    A. Indonesian Applicants :

     

    1. SMA/MA or equivalent school graduates graduating in 2017 and 2018 must have a diploma.
    2. SMA/MA or equivalent school graduates graduating in 2019 have at least an UNAS card/A letter describing the National Exam Results - Surat Keterangan Hasil Ujian Nasional (SKHUN) / A letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.
    3. Graduating from school equivalent to SMA/MA in accordance with the applicable regulations by Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia (DikdasmenKemendikbud RI) in 2017, 2018 and 2019
    4. Having no health issues that might disrupt his/her study.

     

    B. INDONESIAN APPLICANTS (WNI) GRADUATING FROM OVERSEAS SCHOOL

     

    1. Graduating from schools equivalent to SMA/MA (in accordance with the applicable regulations by Primary and Secondary Education, Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia – Dikdasmen Kemendikbud RI) in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
    2. For 2019 graduates, at least holding a letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.

    The Faculty of Economics and Business

                    Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) offers International Undergraduate Programme (IUP) in accounting, management, and islamic economics. The management programme has four concentrations- marketing, finance, human resource, and operational and supply chain-that students can take in semester 6.

    Students in the IUP FEB UNAIR will study in an international environment, internationally standardised facilities, and be taught by lecturers who have intense international experience. The international experience of the lecturers in IUP FEB UNAIR manifest in several ways such as extensive international collaboration, graduated from universities abroad , or having international recognition.

    The IUP FEB UNAIR determines to make students in the IUP FEB UNAIR programme to get as much as possible international exposures. Besides the international environment in the programme, students are also required to take at least one of the following international exposures: a one-semester exchange programme, a dual degree programme, or outbound abroad in one of the partner universities.

    Students in the IUP FEB UNAIR who choose to participate in dual degree programme (as one of the international exposures besides exchange programme and outbound abroad) will be awarded S.A/ S.M./ S.EI  (Sarjana Akuntansi/ Sarjana Manajemen/ Sarjana Ekonomi Islam) from Universitas Airlangga (Home university) and Bachelor Degree (a B.Sc) from partner universities.

    This program requires 1-2 years study abroad after completing first or second year of study at FEB UNAIR. Students complete their bachelor thesis at home university. To conclude the degree from FEB UNAIR, students must perform comprehensive exam in the end of the programme. Students may elect the following partner universities for the dual degree programme:

    •Pay non-refundable application fee via multi-payment system of Rp 1.250.000,00

    Fees

    •Admission Fee                : Rp. 15.000.000 (paid once when registered as a new student)

    •Tuition Fee                     : Rp. 20.000.000 per semester (Indonesian Student);

                                            Rp. 25.000.000 per semester (International Student)

     

    The tuition fee above is valid for the semester(s) undertaken at FEB UNAIR. The tuition fee during study abroad follows the rate of a corresponding partner university.

     

    DUAL DEGREE PROGRAMME

     

    Students in the IUP FEB UNAIR who choose to participate in dual degree programme (as one of the international exposures besides exchange programme and outbound abroad) will be awarded S.A/ S.M./ S.EI  (Sarjana Akuntansi/ Sarjana Manajemen/ Sarjana Ekonomi Islam) from Universitas Airlangga (Home university) and Bachelor Degree (a B.Sc) from partner universities.

    This program requires 1-2 years study abroad after completing first or second year of study at FEB UNAIR. Students complete their bachelor thesis at home university. To conclude the degree from FEB UNAIR, students must perform comprehensive exam in the end of the programme. Students may elect the following partner universities for the dual degree programme:

    3. As announced pass the admission exam, candidates acquired to register on line as a new student then print and bring it to the registration office as scheduled.
    4. A candidate student must conduct registration as a new student by him or her self, it cannot be represented by others.
    5. A candidate student allowed to dress up politely (not to wear t-shirt) and keep complying with the rule through the registration process.

    INTERNATIONAL UNDERGARDUATE PROGRAM
    The Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) based in Surabaya, the capital city of East Java Province, Indonesia, was ranked as one of the top ten universities in Indonesia. UNAIR offers program for first-year students who wish to pursue undergraduate at UNAIR on International Undergraduate Program. The program is open for both Indonesian and Foreign students. All academic activities in this program are taught in English as the primary language. Teaching includes face-to-face classroom instruction in group settings, as well as individual assignments and personal support. Students will be learning alongside other international students who have a similar level of English language skills but may have different academic interests

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

    A. INDONESIAN APPLICANTS :

    1. SMA/MA/SMK/MAK or equivalent school graduates graduated in 2017 and 2018 must have a diploma.
    2. SMA/MA/SMK/MAK or equivalent school graduates graduated in 2019 have A letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.
    3. Proven English Language Proficiency, demonstrated by way of a TOEFL IBT (Score 60) or TOEFL CBT (Score 173) or IELTS test (Score 5.5) or Airlangga English Language Proficiency Test – ELPT / TOEFL (Score 500)
    4. Having no health issues that might disrupt his/her study.

     B. INDONESIAN APPLICANTS (WNI) GRADUATING FROM OVERSEAS SCHOOL

    1. Graduating from schools equivalent to SMA/MA/SMK/MAK (in accordance with the applicable regulations by Primary and Secondary Education, Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia – Dikdasmen Kemendikbud RI) in 2017, 2018 and 2019
    2. For 2019 graduates, at least holding a letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.

    C. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS:

    1. Graduating from high schools in 2017, 2018 or 2019
