An International program on medicine (undergraduate) is a part of global strategy of Airlangga University towards internationalization. The curriculum of this international class is developed based on the international standard directed by the World Federation for Medical Education and the Indonesian Medical Council. The global issues are also accommodated in this curriculum.

Faculty of Medicine Medical education in Surabaya started in 1913 namely Nederlands Indische Artsen School (NIAS). In 1954 this shool changed to be Faculty of Medicine Airlangga University (FMAU) based on Decree of Republic of Indonesia Number 57, dated on November 10th 1954. The first President Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno was pleasure to declare this university officially. The Minister of Education and Culture, Prof. Mr. Muhammad Yamin also involved in this innaguration. FMAU performs many programs namely: Medical Doctor, Midwifery Ungergraduate, Master's Program in Medicine, Master's Program in Nursing, Postgraduate Training on Medical Specialist, and also four Diplomas on Medical Technician (as vocational program).

GENERAL REQUIREMENT

A. INDONESIAN APPLICANTS :

  1. SMA/MA/SMK/MAK or equivalent school graduates graduating in 2014 and 2015 must have a diploma.
  2. SMA/MA/SMK/MAK or equivalent school graduates graduating in 2016 have at least an UNAS card/A letter describing the National Exam Results-Surat Keterangan Hasil Ujian Nasional (SKHUN)/A letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.
  3. Graduating from schools equivalent to SMA/MA/SMK/MAK in accordance with the applicable regulations by Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia (Dikdasmen Kemendikbud RI)  in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
  4. Having no health issues that might disrupt his/her study.

 B. INDONESIAN APPLICANTS (WNI) GRADUATING FROM OVERSEAS SCHOOL

  1. Graduating from schools equivalent to SMA/MA/SMK/MAK (in accordance with the applicable regulations by Primary and Secondary Education, Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia – Dikdasmen Kemendikbud RI) in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
  2. For 2016 graduates, at least holding a letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.

C. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS:

  1. Holding a recommendation letter from Indonesian Embassy in the student's country of residence.
  2. Graduating from schools equivalent to SMA  in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
  3. For 2016 graduates, at least holding a letter stating that the applicant has graduated from high school (Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL)) from the principal, completed with latest photo and a school stamp.
  4. For Malaysian graduates holding one of this requirement:
    • STPM qualification with minimun CGPA 3.00 (4.00 scale).
    • Pre-Medical qualification with minimun CGPA 3.00 (4.00 scale).
    • Foundation Program / A-Level or equalivalent qualification.

SPECIFIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENT FOR AN INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM ON MEDICINE

  • Holding ELPT/IELTS/TOEFL Certificate or equivalent with minimun score 550 (paper-based)

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

  1. For International Applicants, Holding a Letter of Consent from The Republic of Indonesia if accepted as a students at UNAIR.
  2. Having adequate health status determined by Health Teams of Universitas Airlangga.

Registrasi

  1. Candidates can access the result of the student admission exam as scheduled on http://pengumuman.unair.ac.id/ by entering his or her admission number.
  2. Further information about registration can be accessed on the web page http://www.unair.ac.id as scheduled on the web ppmb.unair.ac.id
  3. As announced pass the admission exam, candidates acquired to register on line as a new student then print and bring it to the registration office as scheduled.
  4. A candidate student must conduct registration as a new student by him or her self, it cannot be represented by others.
  5. A candidate student allowed to dress up politely (not to wear t-shirt) and keep complying with the rule through the registration process.
  6. Registration at Management Office of Airlangga University, Campus C, Jl. Mulyorejo Surabaya.
